Raiq was an Ascendant woman who lived in the 23rd and 24th centuries.

Biography[]

As of 2376, she was one hundred and twelve years old. (DS9 novel: Rising Son)

In 2373, Raiq crashlanded on the Ennis moon and was injured. During her recovery, she discussed the True with Opaka Sulan. As thanks for helping her, Raiq destroyed the satellite network around the moon, deactivating the microbes that resurrected the Ennis and the Nol-Ennis. (DS9 novel: Rising Son)

Odo sought information on Raiq during 2376. (DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: The Dominion: Olympus Descending)

In 2377, Raiq joined with other Ascendant Archquesters on a barren planet to which they had been summoned. She witnessed Iliana Ghemor appearing before them. (DS9 novels: The Soul Key, Sacraments of Fire)

After the deaths of Iliana Ghemor and her followers, Raiq became the last known living Ascendant and took up residence at the Shikina Monastery in the city of Ashalla on Bajor. (DS9 novel: Ascendance)

In 2381, Raiq was still present there and had seemingly become a member of the Bajoran religion. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Rough Beasts of Empire)

By 2386, Raiq was based at the Vanadwan Monastery. Her people tried to have her link with them, but the attempt failed. (DS9 novel: The Long Mirage)
