In the 2260s, he worked as a reporter for Interplanetary Press.
In 2266, Rajipur was aware that 1990s pacifist Alfred Bleikoff had recently been revived from cryogenic freeze and would be giving a press conference on Earth. He spotted Bleikoff in India disembarking from a shuttlecraft along with Captain James T. Kirk and called to him, identifying himself as a reporter. As a result, Bleikoff gave his press conference a day earlier than planned in the Taj Mahal.
During the conference, Rajipur asked if there was something he'd seen about Earth that he didn't like, and Bleikoff answered that he felt an "absence of human warmth." That statement created a media frenzy and was the focus of coverage in Space News and other media. (TOS comic: "Prophet of Peace")
