The Rakhari were a humanoid species from the Gamma Quadrant planet Rakhar. They were known to have polygynous marriages, with one individual having at least two wives. They also had business contact with local off-world traders, but were reluctant to have contact with species from the Alpha Quadrant. An example of Rakhari mythology involved the Changelings.
In the year 2369, the Rakhari Croden's family were killed for his opposition to the oppressive Rakhari government. With the help of Odo, Croden was able to rescue his daughter Yareth and begin a new life on Vulcan. (DS9 episode: "Vortex")
In 2383, Typhon Pact starships were travelling near Rakhari space. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Plagues of Night)
