The Raleigh was a Federation shuttlecraft attached to the Sovereign-class USS Enterprise-E.
Service history[]
In 2378, the Enterprise-E was assigned to spend three months in the hazardous Rashanar Battle Site studying the unusual physics in the region, cataloging debris ships, discouraging dozens of looters, and aiding in recovering bodies under supervisory command of Captain Jill Leeden of the USS Juno. In addition to launching the captain's yacht Calypso, Enterprise deployed the Raleigh, Cortez, Hudson, Polo, shuttlepod Wasp, and four other shuttles to patrol the perimeter for illegal salvagers and for other assignments. Raleigh was the last to return to the shuttlebay before Enterprise departed. (TNG - A Time to... novel: A Time to Be Born)
