Lieutenant Ralph Furlong was a Human male serving in Starfleet in the 24th century.
Ralph Furlong was born in 2333 and was a graduate of Starfleet Academy, class of 2351. Furlong began his service onboard the USS Righteous on stardate 40559. Furlong earned the Federation Medal of Valor for rescuing Federation citizens being held hostage by Cardassians on stardate: 42029.
He served as operations manager onboard the Righteous and participated in the Battle of Wolf 359. His actions were instrumental in saving the ship from certain destruction.
While at the Academy, Furlong was classmates with fellow cadets Coris Sprint and Anastasia Targus. The three cadets were good friends. The trio even devised a special handshake and motto: "three against the world".
Ralph Furlong married sometime before 2358. He had a deep love for his family and proudly described his wife as a "strong woman". Furlong often spoke of his family to the bridge crew of the USS Righteous. Ralph Furlong had at least one son, Qaylan Furlong, born in 2358. During the Battle of Wolf 359, Furlong expressed his affection for his family to the rest of the bridge crew. Not only was Furlong a loyal and trusted officer, but was well liked by the Righteous' crew. He was very knowledgeable about all departments of the bridge. Furlong was killed when the Righteous was destroyed at the Battle of Wolf 359. However, in the year 2377, his son Qaylan "moved Heaven and Earth" to go back in time in order to save his life.
