For other uses, see Ram Izad.

The Ram Izad were a sapient species, a technologically advanced civilization from the Ram Izad system in the Alsuran sector of the galaxy's Delta Quadrant. (VOY episode: "Year of Hell", STO - "Better With Friends" mission: "Ram Izad System Patrol")

HistoryEdit

From at least the 22nd century, the Ram Izad were rivals of the larger Krenim Imperium. By the early 25th century, the long-time rivalry had led to multiple skirmishes between Ram Izad and Krenim forces.

Following the conquest of the Krenim Imperium by the Vaadwaur Supremacy circa 2409-2410, the Ram Izad had been on the defensive, fearing the continued expansion of the Vaadwaur. (STO - "Better With Friends" mission: "Ram Izad System Patrol")

While the Ram Izad were not active participants in the war against the Vaadwaur Supremacy, Alpha Quadrant Alliance and Delta Alliance starships moved freely through the Ram Izad system, and battled the Vaadwaur there. (STO - "Better With Friends" mission: "Ram Izad System Patrol")

When the remnants of the Krenim joined forces with other former opponents to form the Krenim Coalition, the Ram Izad were not among that alliance's founding members. (STO video game: Delta Rising, Krenim Lock Box)

Alternate timelineEdit

In a timeline were the temporal scientist Annorax constructed the Krenim temporal weapon ship KIS Kyana Prime and used it to alter the timeline by eradicating components from history, the elimination of the Ram Izad species from Ram Izad V led to a 52% restoration of the Krenim Imperium. The attack restored the Krenim's warp-capability but failed to bring back the long-lost Kyana Prime colony. (VOY episode: "Year of Hell")
