See Ramirez for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Ramirez was a Human man, a lieutenant serving in the operations division aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.

In February 2267, Ramirez worked alongside Shea and Pavel Chekov in engineering, reporting to Montgomery Scott. Scott was the first to "feel" something different abut the Enterprise as it approached Solid Space, and asked Shea and Ramirez to check energy flow in the engines. (TOS - New Visions comic: "Mister Chekov")

Although his rank was not stated in dialogue, Ramirez wore lieutenant stripes.
