Randolph Phillips was a 23rd century Human man, a Starfleet officer who served in the communications center at Earth Spacedock as a duty officer.
Biography[]
Phillips was energetic and curious, though he disliked Klingons and liked to tell Klingon jokes. In his years of training, he acquired authoritative knowledge about communications systems and was qualified for computer operations and systems technologies. He had some training in unarmed combat and marksmanship.
By 2285, he had become bored with serving aboard a space station and yearned for an assignment that involved starship combat. As duty officer, he oversaw about 100 communications personnel in the Spacedock's ComCenter.
In 2285, he was ranking officer when told that a small group would be conducting routine tests of computer memory banks. He met the group and watched them work. (FASA RPG module: The Serpent Factor)
- The group was actually made up of surgically-altered Klingon spies who managed to copy Project Genesis data from the computer core.
