Ranger class NCC-315 — USS *Ranger* (NCC-315)

The USS Ranger (NCC-315) was the prototype of the Ranger-class. It was launched under NX registry in 2215, and shortly there-after changed to NCC. Three years later, in 2218, the Ranger was sent on a First contact mission to Agbar IV. The mission took a disastrous turn, and the Ranger was destroyed by the Klingons. Another vessel with the name USS Ranger (class and registry unknown) was in service in the year 2361, under the command of Captain Yuri Danilov. Ranger security officer Zak Kebron prevented the assassination of Iban Prime Minister Niad while undercover as a park statue. (NF short story, "Waiting For G'Doh")
