A ravager was an arthropoid Bluegill parasite. It resembled a large crustacean, with a serrated carapace. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "The Dragon's Deceit")
Appearance and specifications[]
The ravager appeared like a large, pink crustacean, with a pair of black eyes and large mouth.
In combat, ravagers did not carry weapons and instead relied on their claws for melee attacks. For ranged attacks, a ravager was able to spit at its opponents. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "The Dragon's Deceit")
History[]
In 2410, Commander Eldex and an Alpha Quadrant Alliance away team discovered a Bluegill hive under the surface of Kartella Prime in the Delta Quadrant. Commanders Galik and Telen counted among the leaders of the Vaadwaur Supremacy that had been infested by Bluegill. A shaken Eldex and the away team killed the two commanders, and eliminated the Bluegills in the cave. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "The Dragon's Deceit")
When a hive was discovered on Paria III, Lieutenant John VanDerveer led a task force of Allied officers into the caves to confront the spawnmother and its brood. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "Bug Hunt")
In the ultimate confrontation with the Supremacy at the Battle of Vaadwaur Prime, the AQA and Eldex's faction learn that Vaadwaur Overseer Gaul had been aware of the Bluegill infiltration, and battled the Bluegill groups Gaul led to them. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "Takedown")
The AQA kept practising ground combat against members of this species in the Arena of Sompek on Qo'noS, at the invitation of General "Rodek". (STO - Reckoning mission: "Arena of Sompek")
