Reckoning was the 12th "season" update to ST video game: Star Trek Online, on 26 January 2017. Reckoning came after New Dawn and was followed by Escalation.

Season 12: Reckoning's story leads off directly from the Agents of Yesterday storyline. The Lukari explore the Alpha Quadrant, and the Tzenkethi Coalition returns to the stage of galactic politics.

- "The Undiscovered Lockbox", written by Staff Systems Designer Jonathan “CrypticRock” Steady and published by community rep Mike "AmbassadorKael" Fatum on 23 January 2017, introduces new playable ships: a 23rd century refit of the 22nd century Columbia-class, represented by Columbia NX-02; the 23rd century Federation Atlas-class dreadnought, represented by USS Atlas (NCC-1900); the Klingon D9-class dreadnought and the Romulan Thrai-class dreadnought warbird.
- "Undiscovered Lock Box and Lobi Ship Stats", written by Lead Systems Designer Phil “Gorngonzolla” Zeleski and published by Fatum on 24 January 2017, elaborates on the abilities (stats) of the new tier 6-rated ship classes.
- "T6 Multimission Explorers!", written by Lead Systems Designer Phil "Gorngonzola" Zeleski and published on 6 February 2017, introduces Federation, Gorn (Klingon Empire) and Romulan-Vulcan hybrid (Romulan Republic) tier 6 multi-mission science vessels (MMSV), based on the Vesta-class. The engineering variants are Esquiline-class multi-mission strategic explorer, Ihgomas-class multi-missions strategic vessel and Taenen-class strategic explorer warbird. The science division variants are Brigid-class multi-mission surveillance explorer, Ahgamas-class multi-mission surveillance vessel and Galas-class surveillance explorer warbird. The tactical variants are the Palatine-class multi-mission reconnaissance explorer, Khaimas-class multi-mission reconnaissance vessel and Surhuelh-class reconnaissance explorer warbird.
- "T6 Multimission Explorers Stats!", written by Lead Systems Designer Phil "Gorngonzola" Zeleski and published on 7 February 2017, elaborates on the stats and equipment of the 9 new MMSV.
- "PC Infinity Box Update: T6 Tal Shiar Ships", published 13 April, provides stats for the tier 6-rated Tal Shiar adapted starships Mandukar-class adapted destroyer and Khlinae-class adapted battlecruiser, previously released in the Agents of Yesterday expansion.
