One of the few who joined their faith willingly are the [[Dogs of War]]([[Star Trek: New Frontier|''NF'']] [[novel]]: ''[[The Quiet Place]]''). Their average battleship is quite a bit larger than a federation Ambassador class starship (NF novel: Martyr) . Some smaller ships are also used (NF novel: The Quiet Place).

Virus

Contained in the body of all their high priests is a deadly virus. Released by the death of the priest, the virus eliminates the population and self-destructs within twenty four hours. The Alphans were a victim of this virus (NF novel: Martyr) .
