In the mirror universe, the Regent-class battlecruiser was a starship class used by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. The Regent-class was developed by the Klingon Empire and launched in the year 2372. Several ships of the class were in service to the Klingon Defense Force. - The Regent class is probably identical to the Qang-class with the exception of the name, being named Regent after the title of the Alliance's leader, rather than Chancellor.
History[]
In 2372, several Regent-class battlecruisers were prepared for launch. Their commanding officers had been chosen already, except for the IKS Gorkon. After uncovering a conspiracy, Commander Klag, son of M'Raq earned the favor of Regent Worf. Klag was promoted to captaincy and put in charge of the Gorkon. In 2377, the Gorkon was active in the Bajoran sector. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
