Captain Regina Farkas was a Starfleet officer in the late 24th century. In 2381, at the age of 72, she commanded the USS Quirinal, a Vesta-class starship assigned to Project Full Circle, a fleet tasked with exploration of the Delta Quadrant. She was a cheery woman with short, white hair and a faint scar running along the right side of her face.(VOY novels: Full Circle, The Eternal Tide)

Career[]

Farkas joined Starfleet in 2332, rising quickly through the ranks to receive her first command in 2341. She went on to command four other starships before she assumed command of the Quirinal in early 2381. She was a seasoned officer and a capable diplomat. (VOY novel: Children of the Storm)

In September 2381, the Quirinal became trapped in a fracture between normal-space and the Omega Continuum. Farkas and most of her crew were beamed to safety aboard the USS Achilles, then transported to the Alpha Quadrant by the Mulciber-class starship for reassignment. (VOY novel: The Eternal Tide)

In 2382, Captain Farkas took command of the USS Vesta and returned to the Delta Quadrant as part of Project Full Circle. (VOY novel: Protectors)

Personal life[]

One of her best friends was Doctor El'nor Sal - their friendship having developed after serving together on four different starships. When Farkas took command of the Quirinal, she persuaded Sal to join her crew as chief medical officer rather than retire from Starfleet. (VOY novel: Children of the Storm)

At some point early in her career, Farkas enjoyed an "indecent" liaison in a starship's ready room. El'nor Sal seemed privy to this rather personal information. (VOY novel: The Eternal Tide)
