Regulus A was a star in the Regulus star system in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.

Marion Dulmur referenced the fact that Regulus A was a giant star, eating the atmosphere of its white dwarf companion as a reason why a change in time would be easily noticed in the Regulus system. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
