See Riley for other articles with titles that contain, either by relationship or by coincidence, this character's surname.

Reilly was a 23rd century Human man, a Starfleet ensign who served as a yeoman aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk in the 2260s.

Biography[]

Reilly was of Irish heritage and enjoyed playing cribbage with Pavel Chekov — occasionally cheating when nobody was looking.

In the year 2268, he was the first to call inexplicable sounds and misplaced objects experienced by the crew to be the result of a poltergeist. (TOS novel: Ghost-Walker)

In 2270, Reilly served on one of two landing parties that visited Tau Lyra III in the aftermath of exposure to a massive solar flare that destroyed all life on the surface and wiped out several orbiting Federation probes. He took visual recordings of a region near Ruig, encountering flooding, hurricane-force winds and rain, burnt trees, and lightning. His visuals were replayed in the briefing room after the teams returned. Conditions were similar to those of near Oobast visited by Captain James T. Kirk on the other side of the continent. (TOS novel: Crossroad)
