Remis Jobar was a Bajoran man from near Bennikar village. He told Dax that he didn't know any children personally from Bennikar because he had lived on the outskirts of the village, but that his sister, Cathlys, was a gossiper. She had told him that eight, maybe ten children came from Bennikar, and that she had later died nursing one of them. Later, when Jobar found out that Talis Dejana was the Nekor, he took her (and Kahrimanis) hostage so that he could demand he get his land back. While Major Kira was trying to talk him into giving the hostages up, Kejan Ulli stunned him. (DS9 novel: Warchild)
