Biography[]
Born aboard the USS Enterprise-E in 2381, the son of Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher, and half-brother of Wesley Crusher. (STO novel: The Needs of the Many, TNG - Typhon Pact novel: Paths of Disharmony)
René was a small child when the Devidians began their assault on multiple timelines. During a battle aboard the Enterprise, he was struck by a glancing blow by one of the Devidians, which caused him to prematurely age to an adult. After the attack, his brother Wesley used his abilities as a Traveler to merge René's consciousness with one of his counterparts from a universe where he'd grown to adulthood. (Coda novel: The Ashes of Tomorrow)
He was aboard the free starship Enterprise during its discovery of, and assault on, the Devidian's base. He was killed during the ensuing battle, and the timeline came to an end thus ending the existence of everyone involved. (Coda novel: Oblivion's Gate)

As an adult in an alternate reality, he was married to Natasha Riker-Troi, the daughter of William T. Riker and Deanna Troi, with three children.
