A rens'takin was a Jem'Hadar combat knife with a short blade.
Taran'atar had a rens'takin with him during the time he lived on Deep Space 9, but surrendered it to Elias Vaughn following the incident with Iliana Ghemor in 2377. Taran'atar later created a substitute rens'takin prior to going into battle against an Ascendant aboard the Even Odds. (DS9 novel: Sacraments of Fire)
