Retlaw RPG

A retlaw plant.

The Retlaw plant is a small, plant-organism native to planet Phylos II.

History and specifics[]

Much like the Piersol's Traveller, it is mobile and capable of taking root in ground wherever its instinct drives it. One of the retlaw's other features is its defense mechanism: a poisonous array of thorns. These are deadly to most humanoid life, unless the antidote (secreted naturally by Phylosians; resistant to the bite) is administered quickly. (TAS episode & Log Two novelization: The Infinite Vulcan)

The average height of a retlaw plant was 15 centimeters. (Heritage Models RPG module: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier)

In 2269, a retlaw plant poisoned Hikaru Sulu, but Agmar provided an antidote and he recovered quickly. (TAS episode & Log Two novelization: The Infinite Vulcan)

The Amusement Park Planet recreated a retlaw plant for Sulu during his second visit to the planet for shore leave, and he savored the memory. He idly ground it into dust after picking it up, as the recreation was as harmless as a dandelion. (TAS - Log Three novelization: Once Upon a Planet)
