Lieutenant Rhea McAdams was a Starfleet security officer assigned to the USS Enterprise as chief of security in 2374. In that same year, she was discovered to actually be an android.
Biography[]
After signing aboard at Starbase 105, McAdams soon established good relationships with the command staff of the Enterprise, including Lieutenant Commander Data. Following a mission to Galen IV to investigate the death of Dr. Emil Vaslovik, the Enterprise was caught in battle with a ship populated by androids. As a result, McAdams and Data were forced to flee to Dr. Vaslovik's secret space station, where they located Dr. Vaslovik. Vaslovik had faked his death so that the androids would stop pursuing him. However, the three were forced to abandon the station to the Enterprise, as they maneuvered the android ship into a nanite colony, where it was destroyed. Following this mission, McAdams left the Enterprise. (TNG novel: Immortal Coil)
