Dermot Cusack inside the Rigellian Parliamentary Assembly

The Rigellian Parliamentary Assembly was the seat of government for the Rigellians of Rigel VII.

During in the Kaylar uprising on the planet in 2254 the Assembly was used to hide a transmitter which put out a jamming signal to prevent Starfleet personnel on the planet contacting the USS Enterprise in orbit. The transmitter was disabled by Yeoman Dermot Cusack; moments later, he was murdered by the Rigellian conspirator Talza, the aide to the Rigellian Minister Etashnan. Soon after, security forces from the Enterprise secured the Assembly and other sites under attack from the Kaylar, bringing the coup to an end. (EV comic: "Our Dearest Blood")
