Rita Bevelaqua was a female Human Starfleet officer who served aboard the USS Robinson under the command of Captain Benjamin Sisko in the 24th century. Bevelaqua was a member of the security division and held the rank of Ensign.
In 2386, Ensign Bevelaqua was part of Captain Sisko's team that rescued some of the children of the Robinson from the Glant. Bevelaqua was shot during the rescue mission but was expected to recover following medical treatment. (DS9 novel: Original Sin)
