Robert Kawaguchi was a male Human who served in Starfleet in the 23rd century.

History[]

As of the late 2270s, he held the rank of Chief, and was an engineer assigned to the sensor array aboard the USS Gagarin.

In 2279, the Gagarin was attacked by Klingons, and Kawaguchi was among the twenty-two crew members taken prisoner. He spent the following eight years in a prison camp on the planet Pao'la, sharing a cell with fellow crewmate Sinak, and forced to work in that world's dilithium mines.

Kawaguchi was killed in 2287, when a Romulan prisoner, Trel, reconfigured a laser drill into a weapon and attempted an escape. (TOS novel: In the Name of Honor)
