This page details Robert Tomlinson in the primary universe; for the Robert Tomlinson in the Kelvin timeline created by Nero's temporal incursion see Robert Tomlinson (Kelvin timeline).

Lieutenant Robert Tomlinson was a Human male who served as a Starfleet officer in the 23rd century. In the mid-2260s, Tomlinson served aboard the USS Enterprise as a phaser specialist.

Biography[]

In 2266, Tomlinson was about to be married to his fianceƩ, Angela Martine, in the ship's chapel, when the Enterprise was diverted to respond to a distress call from Earth Outpost 4. During the ensuing battle with the attacker, the ChR Gal Gath'thong, Tomlinson died due to exposure from toxic fumes. Fortunately before his death, Captain James T. Kirk was able to perform the wedding ceremony during a brief lull in the battle. (TOS episode & Star Trek 1 novelization: Balance of Terror)

Kirk wrote a message to Tomlinson's parents on stardate 1711.1 in order to inform them of their son's death. (Star Trek Adventures module: Core Rulebook)
