Romii was a star with an associated star system located in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. The system contained 5 planets, including Romii. (ST video game: Infinite)
History and specifics[]
According to 23rd century Federation star charts, Romii is close to the Romulan hearthworlds. (TOS episode: "Balance of Terror"; ST - The Lost Era novel: The Art of the Impossible; ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
During the early years of the Romulan Star Empire, a brutal war was fought with a neighboring, starfaring nation known as the Hiram Assembly. At first, the war went badly for the Romulans with the Hiram reaching the outskirts of the Romii system itself. However, the Romulans would eventually emerge victorious in the war. (ST novel: Captain's Blood)
- In novels by William Shatner, and the Michael Jan Friedman novel Crossover, Romii is identified as the name of the system containing Romulus and Remus. This is inconsistent with canon, which shows that, on star charts, Romii is a separate entity from Romulus. It could be speculated that Romii and the Romulus system are considered part of the same star group to reconcile the implication.
In the 23rd century of the Kelvin timeline, Romii system was considered to be in Romulan space, located at coordinates -4513, 474. Notable known nearby systems included Devrom and the Romulan system. (ST video game: Fleet Command)
- The system has an ID code of 529392493 in the game software.
In 2346 Romii is located in the Romulan Neutral Zone. (ST video game: Infinite)
