Romii was a star with at least one planet, Romii, in its system. According to 23rd century Federation star charts, Romii is close to the Romulan hearthworlds. (TOS episode: "Balance of Terror"; TLE novel: The Art of the Impossible; ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
During the early years of the Romulan Star Empire, a brutal war was fought with a neighboring, starfaring nation known as the Hiram Assembly. At first, the war went badly for the Romulans with the Hiram reaching the outskirts of the Romii system itself. However, the Romulans would eventually emerge victorious in the war. (ST novel: Captain's Blood)
- In Shatnerverse continuity, and the Michael Jan Friedman novel Crossover, Romii is identified as the name of the system containing Romulus and Remus.
