The Romulan disruptor was the standard issue field weapon of the Romulan military, and larger models were mounted on Romulan starships.

History and specifications

It was a particle-beam weapon analogous to the United Federation of Planets's phaser, and Klingon Empire's disruptor. Both a pistol sized sidearm and rifle sized battlefield weapon were employed by Romulan soldiers and other personnel. At least some examples of the weapons were recharged by ammunition like power packs. Larger versions were also used as fixed emplacements, or weapons batteries on starships. The personal weapons were capable of vaporizing a humanoid target and had at least two settings. (TNG video game: Generations)
