History and specifics[]
Romulan starbases function as a Romulan fleet's center in a specific sector. Once construction of the starbase is complete, it is able to develop or build plasma cannons, research stations, mining stations, spy satellites, and ship yards. The station has the capability to build cargo ships, freighters, and construction ships. Early models are armed with an array of disruptor pulse cannons, newer models are equipped with an array of pulse phasers. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)
