Ruelas Zone was a giant ringed planet in the Ruelas star system, Trexelian Sector 003. The planet was home to a sentient but malicious computer software. (ST video game: Trexels)

Geography[]

Ruelas Zone was a purple planet with cyan and grey highlights, orbited by an expansive yellow ring system. (ST video game: Trexels)

History[]

On stardate 7###.8 (circa 2270), the Federation Starfleet starship USS Trexelprise visited Ruelas Zone, where its computer was infected by sentient malware. The malware behaved like a prankster and sent messages from the mess hall before it became dangerous to the ship. The engineering crew lured it into a box. The ship's counselor discussed with the captain whether the malware should be destroyed or preserved. When the malware begged for energy to be relieved of its pain, the counselor showed mercy. That allowed the malware to escape again, and the Trexelprise's crew destroyed it and left the Ruelan system. (ST video game: Trexels)
