Rus was one of two pages who greeted Captain James T. Kirk and a landing party from the USS Enterprise when they visited Perry in 2269. Unlike the other colonists, Rus was immune to the peacekeeper virus, but succeeded in hiding his violent thoughts and feelings. He assisted Kirk in defeating Wayne Perry.
