In the year 2374, a casualty report filed by the starships USS Cochrane and USS Wyoming, as well as reports from Starbase 129 and Starbase 153 all noted that Lieutenant English had been wounded in action. An additional report from USS Repulse noted he had been killed. (DS9 episode: "In the Pale Moonlight")
Later, in 2375, reports of Lieutenant English's status as wounded remained on record from the Cochrane, Wyoming and Starbase 129. (DS9 episode: "The Siege of AR-558")
