S'hirethal Verauk was a female Acamarian serving in Starfleet in the late 24th century.

In 2381, during the Borg invasion Verauk served aboard the USS Rochambeau as the first officer and was among the group of commanders who received accelerated promotions to captain to help replace the ones who were lost. She lost her husband and seven children when they were exterminated by the Borg on Acamar III.

Verauk took command of the USS Tonawanda in 2383. She was considered a capable officer but pretty outspoken, particularly when it came to Starfleet's role in protecting Federation interests. She seemed to be a more hawkish person when it came to Federation defense.

In October, 2385, Verauk received secret orders from Admiral Declan Schlosser to head to the planet Jevalan in the Doltiri system where she would receive further orders from then President Pro-Tempore Ishan Anjar (Baras Rodirya) to apprehend the Cardassian physician Ilona Daret and anyone accompanying him, without informing her crew of the mission details until arriving at Jevalan. Upon arriving Verauk had the Tonawanda assist the Active Six team by scanning for those whom they were to apprehend from orbit. With the arrival of the USS Enterprise-E Verauk refused to answer hails maintaining communication silence. The attempt to carry out the orders resulted in a brief exchange of fire with the Enterprise causing Verauk's first officer, Commander Latanun, to relieve her of duty.(ST - The Fall novel: Peaceable Kingdoms)
