A s'tarahk was a (primarily) herbivorous quadraped native to Qo'noS, used by Klingons in preindustrial times as a riding animal and beast of burden. A group of the animals were called a s'tarahkmey. They had short tusks to assist them in accessing some food sources, but otherwise could be summarized as the "Klingon horse". (TNG novel: Kahless)
