List of expeditions showing Tomobiki.

In the year 2119, Tomobiki departed for two deep space exploration missions, one under the command of Captain Dave Glick and another under Captain Peter Lauritson. (TNG episode: "Up the Long Ladder"; Star Trek: The Next Generation — The Official Magazine Issue 10: "Art of the Next Generation")

This ship's name was a reference to the fictional Tomobiki districtWP that was the setting for the Japanese animated series Urusei YatsuraWP, with the "RT" in the ship type possibly a reference to Rumiko TakahashiWP, the creator of the series.
This ship type's 2119 configuration was presumably slower than warp factor 2, predating the breaking of the warp 2 barrier in 2143.
