Sabin Genestra

Sabin Genestra in 2367

Sabin Genestra was a Betazoid male.

In 2367, Genestra was an aide to Starfleet Admiral Norah Satie in 2367. He accompanied her on her investigation of an explosion in the USS Enterprise-D engine room. Genestra sensed deception in Crewman Simon Tarses, which Satie believed implicated his involvement in the explosion. Tarses in fact was hiding the fact that he was one-quarter Romulan, and had lied to gain entry into Starfleet. Satie's fanaticism about the whole episode led to her eventually disgrace. (TNG episode: "The Drumhead")

By 2379, Genestra had served as an aide to a total of seven admirals in each case receiving nothing but praise from them. He was chosen by Admiral Tujiro Nakamura to be a part of the inspection of the USS Enterprise-E. His duty would be to evaluate the condition of security and personnel aboard the Enterprise. Over a one week period, he conducted many interviews with Enterprise personnel including Lieutenant Commander Christine Vale whom he purposely tried to make angry so that he could judge her reaction. As with the other three inspectors, he recommended that the Enterprise pass. (ST novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)
