A safari is an expedition, usually a voyage seeking wildlife in a wilderness area.

Traditional Earth safari gear included khaki trousers or shorts, knee-high boots, a jacket and a pith helmet, sometimes with a net to prevent insect bites. (TNG - The Q Continuum novel: Q-Space)

Members of Earth's British Raj wore safari clothes. In 1974, Donald Archibald Williams was wearing such gear when he discovered Gary Seven at Balam International Airport. (TOS - The Eugenics Wars novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 1)

In 2367, Q materialized aboard the USS Enterprise-D wearing safari gear prior to the ship's visit to Tagus III. (TNG episode: "Qpid")

In 2369, the hologram of Regina Barthalomew recalled having gone on a safari when she was 17 years old. The countess enjoying wearing trousers rather than her usual corset. (TNG episode: "Ship in a Bottle")

In 2374, a female Q appeared aboard the USS Enterprise-E looking for Q while wearing a safari outfit. (TNG - The Q Continuum novel: Q-Space)

In 2269, some of the Onlies visited Boaco VI as part of playing a game of safari. (TOS novel: The Cry of the Onlies)

In the early 2270s decade, Exotica Tours was granted a license to host photo safari trips to Quilian IV. In 2273, sapient natives kidnapped a safari group. (FASA RPG module: Safari in Violet)

One trope was an old Earth safari hunter posing for a photo beside an animal he'd killed. In 2370, William T. Riker recalled his father Kyle Riker in that pose after pinning Will as a child during an anbo-jyutsu match. (TNG novel: Dragon's Honor)

In 2375, Grand Nagus Zek left Ishka a note saying he was going on a business safari. He ended up crossing into the Mirror Universe. (DS9 episode: "The Emperor's New Cloak")

In 2370, Jake Sisko and Nog occasionally played space safari in one of Quark's holosuites. One time, they spotted an animal and adopted it as a pet, later discovering it was an illusory experience of Pyxian Prince Joryl. (DS9 YA novella: The Pet)
