Salavat is a Breen planet in the Alrakis star system. Utyrak, Rasiuk, Pohodok and Tanhevit are among the settlements on the planet.
In 2382, Julian Bashir and Sarina Douglas were sent to Salavat by Starfleet Intelligence to retrieve the information on Starfleet's quantum slipstream technology that rogue elements of the Typhon Pact had stolen from the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards several months earlier. Aided by Breen dissenters, Bashir and Douglas discovered that a Breen prototype starship, with quantum slipstream capabilities, was under construction nearby and successfully sabotaged the vessel, as well as erasing the data on the quantum slipstream technology.
