Sam was a 23rd century Human man, a Starfleet technician assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk in the 2260s.
Biography[]
In 2267, Sam joined a maintenance crew to conduct a routine check of the hull in environmental suits. While returning to the ship through an airlock, Sam felt someone shove him, but the other three members of his team were nowhere near him. One said he must have space jitters. Eventually this was discovered to be part of first contact with apparently non-corporeal Zond. (TOS comic: "Spectre of the Zond")
