Sanctuary Four was a planet, an inhabited world located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. In the 32nd century, a wildlife preserve operated on this world. (DSC episode: "That Hope Is You, Part 1")

History and specifics[]

In the 25th century, Sanctuary cervidae were a deer-like species sold as pets to Khitomer Alliance personnel by the Lobi Crystal Consortium on Drozana Station. These animals originated on the Sanctuary Moon. (STO - Unleashed mission: "Spin the Wheel")

In the 3180s decade, Sanctuary Four was a safe haven for endangered species. Cleveland Booker used his position among the Couriers to transport animals to this planet after leaving his homeworld Kwejian behind. In the year 3188, Booker was accompanied by the time-displaced 23rd century Starfleet officer Commander Michael Burnham when he transported the trance worm Molly from Emerald Chain-controlled Hima to Sanctuary Four. Booker told Burnham this planet reminded him of his own. (DSC episode: "That Hope Is You, Part 1")

In 3191, Booker planted cuttings of the Kwejian World Root tree he had received from the Eternal Gallery and Archive in a forest on Sanctuary Four. By the 33rd century, the cuttings had grown into a full tree. By the time Booker's son Leto reached captaincy, Cleveland and Michael had made their home in a house on Sanctuary Four. Ahead of Admiral Burnham's final mission aboard the USS Discovery, Captain Leto piloted 32c. Federation Shuttle UFP-47 to Sanctuary Four to personally convey Burnham to Federation Headquarters. (DSC episode: "Life, Itself")
