Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A Sangdor picket ship was a type of picket ship warship starship in service to the Sangdor Principality during the 23rd century.

Service history and specifications[]

This type of Sangdor vessel patrolled disputed territorial holdings during a period of hostility between the Federation and the Principality. It was armed with phasers and photon torpedoes, and formidably powered compared to a Constitution-class starship. Its bow was structurally reinforced for use as a battering ram, leveraging a battle technique of the Sangdor to ram opponents during battle.

In 2279, a Sangdor picket ship intercepted the USS Enterprise at the border between the two interstellar states. The warship seized the Starfleet vessel with a tractor beam to reduce her ability to maneuver, then attempted to ram her. Diverting extra power to avoid the collision significantly reduced the starship's fighting capability. Combat ended only when the Sangdor war captain was given a diplomatic message from the Federation to bring back to his superiors. (TOS comic: "Send in the Clones")
