Sara George was a 23rd century Human woman. She was a science officer who served at the Starfleet Cultural Survey Bureau.
Biography
George was dapper, petite, shapely, and had long black hair. She was adept at sign language. For many years, George repressed her emotions and focused entirely on her work.
In 2269, George was on special assignment aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk to assess the use of telescan cephalic implants in planetary surveys.
On Kyros, she collected neural pattern data from more than 200 Kyrosians while staying hidden in a hotel room, then analyzed them, working with Leonard McCoy and Christine Chapel to pair them up with suitable members of a landing party. This gave the team knowledge of the local language and culture. While selecting a doppleganger for herself, however, she became overly curious about one subject far different from herself, an uninhibited woman with sexual magnetism, and had this personality implanted. George was immediately overcome by emotion from the "dop" and it essentially became her. Unfortunately, as she assessed dopplegangers for Spock, she swapped his chosen dop with that of Chag Gara, a Kyrosian who was similarly uninhibited. After beaming down, the two ran off and made love.
After Spock disappeared, George confessed to these events only after being injected with a tranquilizer that suppressed her dop's influence. With a filter added to her implant to dampen her dop, George acted as a guide and interpreter for Kirk and McCoy while they searched for Chag Gara on the surface. She defended Kirk when a few of Gara's followers attacked, handling three but getting stabbed in the abdomen by a fourth, and lost a lot of blood, but she was healed in sickbay.
