The Sardalian system was a binary star system, located in the galaxy's Delta Quadrant. The system had two stars locked in orbit, both type B blue stars. Both stars were active, even volatile. The fifth planet Sardalia was home of the sentient Sardalians and darra. (VOY novel: Bless the Beasts)

History[]

In the year 2372, the Federation starship USS Voyager was diverted from its course to a class N planet due to internal damage, and sought assistance from the Sardalians. Operations officer Harry Kim advised Captain Kathryn Janeway that the Sardalian suns were volatile, and that their radiation might affect ship systems in unpredictable ways.

On the planet's surface, inhabitants and the away team referred to the Sardalian sun, rather than suns. From the waters near the Micazsian darra grounds, Vandorra lay in the direction of the sun in the morning. (VOY novel: Bless the Beasts)

System makeup[]
