Doctor Sarina Kaur was a Human female, the head of the Chrysalis Project in India in the 1960s and early 1970s, and the surrogate mother of Khan Noonien Singh. A student of Har Gobind Khorana, her work was largely responsible for the creation of the first Human Augments.

Kaur was killed on 18 May 1974 when the Chrysalis Project facility was destroyed by a chain reaction in its nuclear reactor, set off by Aegis agents Gary Seven and Roberta Lincoln. (TOS novel: The Eugenics Wars: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 1)

In 2267, Khan and his Augment followers christened the River Kaur on Ceti Alpha V in her honor. (TOS novel: To Reign in Hell: The Exile of Khan Noonien Singh)
