The Schutzstaffel (SS) was a paramilitary group, an armed branch of the Nazi party in Germany on the planet Earth. The SS was formed at first to be an elite guard detail for Adolf Hitler in the late 1920s decade and growing until the collapse of Nazi Germany in the year 1945. As the SS grew in the 1930s, they became known for distinct black uniforms. A copycat organization with the same name and symbology was formed on the planet Ekos in the 23rd century, known for the brutality and cruelty of their tactics, including torture—in all aspects, as insidious as the original organization.
