Science Station 402

Science Station 402 was a 24th century Federation scientific research laboratory outpost located in the Kohlan system, in the general vicinity of the Ferengi Alliance in the Alpha Quadrant.

History[]

In 2367, discovery of a Cytherian probe near the Argus Array prompted Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise to want it taken by tractor beam to Science Station 402, but shortly afterward the probe maneuvered to match the starship's speed, and its energy altered Reginald Barclay's mental capacity. After transporting the ship through a wormhole to Cytheria, the Enterprise returned safely, but without the probe. (TNG episode: "The Nth Degree")
