Sea of Tranquillity

The Sea of Tranquillity (also spelled Sea of Tranquility and known as Mare Tranquillitatis) was a location on the planet Earth's moon, Luna, in the northern hemisphere on the side facing Earth at coordinates 0°41'15" N latitude and 23°26' E longitude.

On 20 July 1969, the Sea of Tranquility was the landing site for Apollo 11, where Humans first stepped foot on Earth's moon. (Last Unicorn RPG module: A Cadet's Guide to Sector 001 Earth)

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin collected rock samples and conducted experiments in the Sea of Tranquility in spacesuits for 21 hours and 6 minutes. (ST reference: Spaceflight Chronology)
