A second was a measurement of time originating with the Human civilization of the planet Earth.

History and specifications[edit | edit source]

A second was usually the base unit of time used to measure something, though it could be further divided by adding a prefix (such as millisecond or nanosecond) or a decimal suffix. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
