Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

In an alternate timeline, the Second Battle of Wolf 359 was a military conflict that occurred in the Wolf 359 star system, 8 light-years from Earth, some 20-plus years after the original Battle of Wolf 359. When the Grigari managed to invade Sector 001, Captain Riker of the USS Enterprise made a final stand here. All hands were killed in action, according to most accounts. The loss of sector 001 led to a reality where, by the 25th century, pah-wraiths reigned supreme over the humanoids of the known galaxy, and the Bajoran Ascendancy devastated every power in and near the Bajor sector. This reality was aborted by time travellers. (DS9 - Millennium novel: The War of the Prophets)
