Sector 006

Sector 006 (the Andor sector) is a Beta Quadrant sector of space that is located in the heart of the United Federation of Planets, according to Federation measurement standards and terminology in stellar cartography.

History and specifics[]

This sector contains the star Procyon. The sector was bordered towards the galaxy's lower reaches by the Vulcan sector. Towards the galaxy's coreward regions, sector 006 is bordered by the Ophiucus sector. Moving clockwise around the galactic center, this sector is bordered by the Sigma Draconis sector. In 2267, the Federation Council discussed some minor aggressive activity in the sector, which was instigated by the Romulan Empire. (TOS comic: "To Rule the Universe")

In the 2360s, Sector 006 was the home of the Black Star and its associated monitoring station. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
